Greenpeace

[edit]

Wasn't this guy the founder of Greenpeace? Using his unearned money to capitalise on his own beliefs? I have no time for the sort of anti-Sci BS that he promoted but surely it's a very well known organization and should be included. Smidoid (talk) 13:25, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think the reference to a 'policy of criminalising republicans' is blatant POV and an inaccurate summary of the Northern Ireland policy of the Callaghan government. In any case, Melchett was IIRC in charge of domestic policy in NI and not of security. The paragraph on Melchett's appointment with Burson-Marsteller also smells of POV. Dbiv 20:36, 4 Jan 2005 (UTC)

It was only one sentence, and it was irrelevant to the article. I hope my edit fixed any POV there might have been. mholland 02:02, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

deliberately ending the baronetcy

[edit]

His actions make Peter Mond sound like an arsehole. Your children are not your political experiment. His son could have disclaimed the peerage, but Peter didn't give him a choice. Again, arsehole. Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 18:20, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
